Probably the most frustrating problem ever encountered by mankind. When I encountered these errors, it only took me 4 hours to fix. I reset Windows 10 and the reset program stated, 'no sweat Jim, you won't have to reinstall FSX or any of your FSX addons. Microsoft KB928080 I tried run Microsoft KB928080 but it doesn't work and I have problem to install flight simulator X. I had try every thing, I restart windows 8.0 update to win 8.1, etc.

This is a 5 years old video, i was able to fix the problem on windows 8, but a lot of windows 10 users tell me that it doesn't work. Unfortunately i don't us.

MSCONFIG and disable all startup items and try again. Also, if you can beg,borrow or steal another DVD drive, try that.
Don't have the link handy but search the MSKB for a document on How to
Perform a Clean Boot - and try that also.

I have read many posts regarding this error, however I cannot solve this
problem.
I do not wish to reinstall Windows just because a game is not working and
would like to try something else first.
When I run the KB tool (from command prompt), I get an error saying unable
to remove tokens in C:ProgramData....
I tried a registry cleaner and this does not help.
I also manually removed the installed FSX folders.
I hope you can help me without suggesting to reinstall windows. I do not
have any burning software installed.
