Good Morning Dave Wav

In one of the final scenes before David uploads the virus he turns his computer on and it has the homage to Arthur C. Clarke's Space Odyssey, 'Good Morning, Dave.' He powers up his computer and the old school rainbow Apple logo with the quote 'Good morning, Dave' typed out underneath was missing. The text was still there but the logo was gone. Recording of approx. 250 adults talking before a large meeting. You can hear the general 'roar' and occasionally pick out individual voices (but not so much as you can make out what they are saying). All with someone speaking with amplification to get the crowd's attention: 'good morning'. The crowd begins to quiet and someone tentatively claps.

In which for security reasons, of the highest importance, has been known onboard during the mission, only by your HAL 9000 computer. Now that you are in Jupiter's space and the entire crew is revived, it can be told to you. 18 months ago, the first evidence of intelligent life off the Earth was discovered. It was buried 40 feet below the lunar surface, near the crater Tycho. Except for a single very powerful radio emission, aimed at Jupiter, the 4 million year old black monolith has remained completely inert. It's origin and purpose....still a complete mystery.
